Bronze Laozi Statue, 18 cm
Lost-wax casting with a hand-finished aged patina
$128.00Made to order
This seated figure of Laozi stands eighteen centimetres tall and is cast by the lost-wax method in a foundry that has supplied temple figures for three generations. The robe folds are cut by hand after casting, then the surface is darkened and rubbed back so the high points show the metal beneath. Each statue is finished to order, mounted on a weighted base, and packed in a fitted box for shipping, with a light wax finish that protects the patina without making it glossy.
